In an era where knowledge, language, and identity are constantly being redefined, educators and researchers are challenged to examine not only what we know but also what we may need to unlearn.

The FATFA Conference 2026 theme of (un)Knowing and (un)Learning invites participants
to explore how reflection, curiosity, Indigenous ways of knowing and creative unlearning can reshape
French language education in Australia and beyond.

Across two days of presentations, workshops, and discussions, we will question how teaching, learning,
and research intersect in a changing world — one marked by curriculum expectations, multilingual realities,
and the emergence of new technologies and AI.
